Course Overview:

MBA in Finance is in significant demand as there are immense lucrative career options in this domain. The program equips students with knowledge and expertise to scrutinize company reports, take measures to maximize stock value, analyze and forecast economic trends, balance risk and profitability and choose investment.

Financial Management specialization with a multi-disciplinary orientation provides students a wider exposure to businesses, whether small, medium or any big conglomerates. Students specializing in finance will find exciting job opportunities in manufacturing, services and IT and ITES sectors. The jobs comprise of roles like finance advisor, finance manager, finance analyst, budget analyst, investment banker etc.

Eligibility criteria

Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks for all subjects taken together (45% for SC/ST candidates).

Candidates who are appearing for their final year examination and are awaiting their results may also apply. However, they should have maintained an average of 50% marks in the degree course until then.

Candidates should be competing all their degree examinations before 25th June 2022. At the time of application candidates are required to produce proof of passing the Degree examination with the minimum required of 50%.

Valid score of PGDM PGCET / CAT / MAT / ATMA or any state approved admission test.

Professionals with 1-3 years of work experience are encouraged to apply, as this course will put them to higher pedestals in the industry.

Applicants who have un-cleared backlog papers in graduation are not eligible to apply.

Career Opportunities:

Financial Manager:

The responsibility of the financial manager is to perform data analysis and accordingly advise the senior management with the profit-maximizing ideas. As a finance manager you will also be responsible for the financial health of the organization and set the short-term and long-term financial goals of the organisation.

Investment Banker:

Investment banking has become one of the prominent career options over the years. The role of the investment banker is to manage, raise and merge the capital finance. The responsibility also includes monitoring the advisory-based investments done by the client. You will also be monitoring the financial markets.

Financial Analyst:

A financial analyst can work in a bank, pension funds, insurance companies and other financial businesses as the responsibility includes decision making process of expanding money to attain maximum profit. You will also be assessing the performance of the stocks, shares, bonds and other types of investments.

Financial Advisor:

The job of the financial advisor is to provide financial advice and guidance to the customers. They also provide financial assistance in different ways like investment management, tax planning and estate planning.
